Berkshire Botanical Garden

The Berkshire Botanical Garden is located at 5 West Stockbridge Road in Stockbridge, MA. This rare space is where art and nature come together. While visitors can look forward to changing landscapes from spring through the end of fall, the gardens are not open during the winter.

About the Gardens

This landmark's historic and whimsical gardens spread across 24 beautiful acres of lush terrain. Within its acreage, guests will find dozens of unique garden spaces that display a variety of plant species and planting concepts. Highlights of any visit include tours of:

  1. Mixed border gardens.
  2. The serene and contemplative Pond Garden.
  3. The historic 1937 Herb Garden.
  4. The Daylily Walk.
  5. The Foster Rock Garden.
  6. Raised-bed vegetable gardens.
  7. Native-plant gardens.
  8. Lucy's Garden features "live" topiary sculptures.

The Berkshire garden is a distinctly New England space home to more than 3,000 species and varieties of herbaceous and woody plants with the hardiness and fortitude to shine in the Massachusetts climate. This attraction is also known for its stunning perennial borders that frame various gardens and focal points. In addition, the changing seasonal foliage and coloring help to make this a great three-season attraction that offers new perspectives at different points in the year.
